Demons tame the Panthers by 25

The pieces all fell together for the Durango High School against Montezuma-Cortez on Thursday.

The Demons’ girls basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak by defeating the Tigers 66-41 in Cortez.

Statistics weren’t immediately available.

It’s the most points DHS (4-9, 2-3 Southwestern League) has scored all season and the least its allowed since a 54-37 win over Grand Junction Central two weeks ago.

The Panthers (0-12, 0-4 SWL) dropped their 12th consecutive game this season.

DHS will continue its road swing against Fruita Monument on Feb. 7 and Grand Junction Central on Feb. 8.
