Dr. Matthew Clark will give a presentation about depression at 12:45 p.m. Oct. 28 in the St. Columba Parish Center, 1800 East Second Ave.
Clark will review the prevalence, symptoms and diagnosis of depression as well the risk factors and protective factors for suicide.
Participants will learn about the biological, psychological and environmental factors that influence human depression and review the perspectives of brain science, pharmacology, human psychology and spirituality in the management of depression. Dr. Clark will share strategies for better mental hygiene.
Light refreshments will be served.
