I just heard on the news that someone flew a drone over the Lightner Creek fire, causing tankers and other air support to vacate the area.
No doubt that helped the fire to burn even more and endangered life and property.
Whoever this self-centered and thoughtless individual is needs to be punished severely. Pilots can’t see these drones. These little toys can bring down helicopters and do damage to tankers if they’re hit.
This kind of self-serving thrill seeker is getting more and more dangerous and must be stopped!
Are there not Federal Aviation Administration rules against this kind of action?
