Durango Adult Education Center teacher receives Colorado Teacher of the Year award

The Durango Adult Education Center has announced that Mary Mullen, lead high school equivalency teacher, was awarded the 2020 Colorado Teacher of the Year award by the Mountain Plains Adult Education Association.

Mullen has been teaching GED classes at DAEC since 2012. Four years ago, she was able to bring her work to the inmates of the La Plata County Jail.
