Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering seeks home stays for performers

Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering is seeking home stays for performers Sept. 28 through Oct. 2.

Twenty-eight Western entertainers will perform in numerous venues in Durango beginning Sept. 29. They will provide entertainment on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad train Sept. 30 and in a motorless parade and in various venues along Main Avenue on Oct. 1.

There are also night shows Sept. 29 through Oct. 1. The performers will finish with a cowboy worship service at the Durango Cowboy Church the morning of Oct. 2.

Homes offered should be in or close to Durango. Hosts are not responsible for meals or transportation for performers. Guests will need a bedroom and bathroom in a house, guest house or cabin.

Hosts will receive tickets to their choice to the Sept. 29 evening cowboy performance “Apricot Dumpling Gang,” the Oct. 1 “Rising Youth Stars” show or the Oct. 1 afternoon “Tribute to Miss Kitty” by Ellie English.
