The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Durango Lodge 507, is proud to announce the recipients of 13 Elks Lodge scholarships. The following students received local lodge scholarship awards in the amount of $1,000 each: Morgan Allen, Durango High School; Rachel Bauer, Bayfield High School; Cassandra Blau, Durango High School; Noah Clements, Durango High School; Jessica Fiala, Durango High School; Emma Jaber, Durango High School; William Lammons, Durango High School; Kayla Willis, Durango High School; and Alma Wolf, Animas High School.
Sarah Ross from Pagosa Springs High School received a $1,000 grant made possible by the Elks National Foundation through the Colorado Elks Association.
Briana Duran and Lucas Roderick received Fred Zimmerman Memorial Scholarship Awards in the amount of $500 each.
Audie Atole, a Fort Lewis College student, received a $1,000 Veterans Committee Scholarship.
