The Herald’s May 7 editorial suggests that we already can see the dire effects of climate change, whatever that is. The climate has always changed throughout the history of the Earth, long before there were industrial CO2 emissions.
We are now into 17 years of basically no change in global temperature, confounding all the climate scientists who deeply hoped, in an anti-human way, for a cataclysm of rapid global heating. So, obviously all the mathematical models they used to predict a rapid heating were wrong. The models can’t even back-predict weather that has already happened, it turns out.
But once again, we have a National Climate Assessment predicting doom and gloom, and that assessment is based on the above-styled mathematical models that have been proved to not work! So the report is not scientific; it’s political. And the Herald is taking, without asking any questions, the report at its face value. Where is our objective watchdog media? They seem to be carrying water for a single political party.
Obama simply wants to use this bogus climate report to once again shout, “This is an emergency, so I will take executive action and override our democratic processes!” The Herald should editorialize more about usurpation of legislative powers by Obama than it should join with the sky-is-falling crowd.
