Recognizing that the success of any public library is enhanced and sustained by dedicated residents, the Library Advisory Board will single out people for their commitment through the Library Community Champion initiative.
Nominees’ contributions should include: serving as role models for dedication and service to Durango Public Library; expending significant time, energy and commitment on behalf of the library and its patrons; and providing outstanding service and benefit to the library.
Previous award recipients include former library volunteer Lynne Hardy, former Library Advisory Board members Bev Darmour and Steve Redding, and Friends of the Library Board members Nancy Peake and Maile Kane.
