The Durango Winter Sports Foundation will present the Celebration of Winter at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Powerhouse Science Center, 1333 Camino del Rio.
This family-friendly event will include a silent auction, food, drinks, the snow dance, entertainment and the induction into the Hall of Fame of legendary alpine skier and coach, Joe Holgate.
Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for children. All proceeds support scholarships for Nordic, freestyle, Alpine and free-ride team members.
