Education system aims to close minds

Watching news clips of student activists harassing a professor and news photographer brings to mind Hitler’s Brown Shirts or Mao’s Red Guards. The same sort of intolerance and hypersensitivity those two diverse groups manifested, seem to now be the order of the day at our colleges and universities. Numerous news stories can be cited with the same theme. The mere fact that discourse between parties is not allowed and routinely shouted down probably indicates the emptiness of their ideas and their inability to cope with life in general.

It seems that intolerance and closed minds are the aim and end product of our education system. This mindset is now so pervasive I am not sure it is reversible. I should also note that often the mob mentality will turn on its leaders/mentors when they prove not as ideologically pure as they should be.
