A public meeting to discuss the proposed development of the Durango Mesa Park multi-event center will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at La Plata County Administration Building, 1101 East Second Ave.
About 200 acres of property on Ewing Mesa, located east of the Animas River above Highway 3, was recently donated to the county and will allow the event center to be developed within an 800-acre grassy area, accessible by a network of popular trails.
Presentations will be held at 4:15 and 6 p.m., and participants will have the opportunity to meet the project team and share ideas in an open-house setting.
