The Fort Lewis College volleyball team split its four games at the Southern Baptist Invitational this weekend in Bolivar, Missouri.

The Skyhawks (5-3) fell to Oklahoma Baptist 3-2 on Friday before coming back to beat the host Southern Baptist 3-0. Then on Saturday they were swept by Drury then cruised to a sweep against Emporia State.

In the wins, the Skyhawks were great with their serves. They had 10 aces in a 27-25, 25-18 and 25-20 win against Emporia State (4-4), and eight aces against Southern Baptist (0-7) to help them to a 25-18, 25-18 and 25-13 win.

In the losses, FLC struggled with its hitting. Against Drury, the Skyhawks struggled with their hitting, converting just .106 of their kill attempts compared to .319 for Drury (7-1), which won 25-11, 25-17 and 25-21. And versus Oklahoma Baptist (3-5) the Skyhawks hit .178 to lose in five sets 21-25, 27-25, 25-16, 19-25 and 15-7.
