Nancy Utter, a naturopathic practitioner, will offer a free thyroid gland assessment clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at Durango Natural Medicine, 117 County Road 250.
The thyroid gland, known as the “master gland of metabolism,” controls the ability to make energy. Poor thyroid function can cause fatigue, depression, weight-gain, digestive problems and other health issues.
