Our nation needs a leader who will bring people together. That is one of the reasons why I’ve decided to support Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard from Hawaii for president.
She grew up in a conservative family and was home-schooled. She went on to public service, including 16 years in the Army National Guard which included two deployments, in Iraq and Afghanistan. This experience showed her firsthand the high cost of war. She also sits on the Homeland Security, Armed Services and Foreign Affairs committees.
Born in American Samoa to U.S. citizens, her conservative upbringing allows her to understand exactly what bigotry and fear can do to people. She knows how to overcome this and will lead others to do the same. I have seen how her message of Aloha and service above self appeals to people across the political and religious spectrums. I’ve seen how she brings people together and will lead our nation into peace, both outside and within our borders.
