As we celebrated the harvest and community this Thanksgiving, I wanted to share an act of genuine kindness and generosity.
Throughout the summer, while their fruit and vegetable stand was open near the Durango Recreation Center, Just Peachy donated produce to Manna. The extra or ugly fruits and vegetables were then transformed by the dedicated and caring team at Manna into delicious and healthy meals or offered in the Manna market for individuals and families in our community.
What is amazing about this generous donation is the sheer volume. While they were here this season, Just Peachy donated 10,672 pounds of fresh produce.
Such generosity is truly the spirit of this season. As a Manna volunteer, I’m grateful.
