Reduce stress with meditation
An introduction to mindfulness meditation and to practices for coping more effectively with stress, illness and pain will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 19 on the first floor of the Smiley Building in Room 15, 1309 East Third Ave.
Participants will learn why and how it can serve them in cultivating greater health, focused attention and peace of mind. Detailed information will be offered about the internationally acclaimed program Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
Mindfulness meditation is being practiced in medical centers, corporations and schools.
Janet Curry is holding this free session open to the public. Curry is a mental health counselor in private practice and certified MBSR provider.
