Prediabetes class available at Mercy
Mercy Regional Medical Center will offer free education to people with prediabetes from 9 to 11 a.m. March 6 in Suite 140 of the medical office building.
People diagnosed with prediabetes are at a higher risk of developing Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Effectively managing prediabetes can help prevent diabetes.
Anyone identified as having prediabetes is invited to attend this free class by Sheena Carswell and Marge Morris. Attendees will learn how to manage it and help prevent the onset of Type 2 diabetes.

Allergist Dr. Cooke receives recertification
Dr. W. Donald Cooke has been recertified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.
The board is a conjoint board of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics.
The recertification involves written competency tests, recent update modules and practice improvement modules occurring every 10 years.
Cooke is the only ABAI certified physician in the Four Corners.
