There’s a solution to seasonal allergies

Heart Safe teaches life-saving CPR skills
Heart Safe La Plata, a local nonprofit organization, will offer these classes at the Durango Fire & Rescue Station 1, 142 Sheppard Drive:
Adult CPR/AED will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday.
CPR Pro will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. May 14.
Adult CPR/AED and Basic First Aid will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 16.

Program serves women, children
San Juan Basin Health Department’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children provides supplemental foods, health-care referrals and nutrition education to low-income women, infants and children up to age 5.
The health department is taking walk-in appointments at its Durango location from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Fridays for WIC clients in need of a follow-up, mid-certification or re-certification.
New clients and baby appointments require scheduled appointments.
