Health insurance marketplace discussed
“Understanding Colorado’s Health Insurance Marketplace” will be presented by Kevin O’Connor, health coverage guide for San Juan Basin Health Department, at 6 p.m. Nov. 17, Dec. 16 and Jan. 14 at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
The Affordable Care Act has increased the availability and affordability of health insurance for many Coloradans. This presentation will explain what has changed and how a family may be affected.
Emphasis will be on understanding how to obtain health insurance through Connect for Health Colorado, the state’s health insurance marketplace. The group also will discuss changes in eligibility rules for private insurance, how to get tax credits to help pay for insurance and other programs such as Medicaid.

Health Action Coalition to meet
The Community Health Action Coalition will hold its annual membership meeting from 8 to 10 a.m. Nov. 13 in the Eolus Room of the Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.
Breakfast will be served. Topics of discussion will include “What will 2016 look like?”
