Heart Safe La Plata announces CPR classes

Heart Safe La Plata will host these classes at the Durango Fire Protection District training room, 142 Sheppard Drive:

An adult CPR/AED course will take place at 6 p.m. Feb. 6. This course will cost $50 and provides a two-year certification.

CPR PRO for Healthcare Professionals will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 13. The cost will be $65. This course covers adult, child and infant CPR.

Online CPR and first-aid training is available to the community. Participants can sign up for the class, take the online course at home, schedule the hands-on skills portion and receive a two-year certification. The cost will be $50.

Instructors are available to teach at a business or organization.

Chiropractor to offer free class on Tuesdays

Chiropractor Clayton Sullwold will offer a free foundation class to the public at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Atlas Specific, 1800 East Third Ave., Suite 108.

This class is an introduction to health and upper-cervical chiropractic and will cover the principles on which a chiropractor bases his or her work.

Sullwold will discuss how this approach can restore and preserve health.

The latest research about illnesses such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, dystonia and other neurological conditions will be covered.
