Acupuncture clinic available to veterans
A Durango Veterans Acupuncture Clinic will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Mondays and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at 635 East Fifth Ave.
This is a free, community-style acupuncture clinic for veterans and their families. The clinic is sponsored by The Durango Acupuncture Alliance.

Bicycle ride for cancer to stop in Durango
A 1,400 mile, 14-day bicycle ride from Austin, Texas, to Denver to raise awareness for prostate cancer, will arrive in Durango on Thursday after completing the eighth day of the journey.
Ska Brewing Co., 225 Girard St., will host a community event for cyclists, crew and supporters, to benefit the Pints for Prostates organization from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
The two-week ride which began Sept. 25, includes eight stops in various cities to rally tour support and showcase North by Northwest Restaurant and Brewery’s Beerliner Bus, a 1974 refurbished bus featuring four beer taps, three video screens and a commercial kitchen.
