Homes along Rim Drive slated for summer construction

Small subdivision selling lots
Construction on homes in a small subdivision planned for Rim Drive will likely get underway this summer. The lots will range from a quarter of an acre to about 2 acres.

Nine new houses are likely to be built along Rim Drive near Terra Vista Drive.

The small development named Arrowhead Ridge will subdivide 10.43 acres into 10 lots.

One existing home will remain and nine new ones are planned, said Britt Bassett, the developer.

Three lots are under contract and six are for sale, he said.

There aren’t many lots for sale in town and interested buyers for two of the lots found out about the project through word of mouth, he said.

“The development seems to be well received by everybody,” he said.

The project is waiting for administrative approval through the city, and construction will likely start mid-summer, he said.

Thus far, no speculative homes are planned within the small subdivision. But Kogan Builders is a partner in the project and the business has the option to build speculative homes, he said.

As part of the project, a new sidewalk and bike lane will go in along Rim Drive.
