Learn how to reduce stress through mindfulness

Janet Curry will present a free introduction to the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the Smiley Building, 1309 East Third Ave., in Studio 10.

Curry, a mental health counselor in private practice and certified MBSR provider, will offer detailed information about practices for coping more effectively with stress, illness and pain. Mindfulness meditation is being used in medical centers, schools and major corporations to cultivate greater health, focused attention and peace of mind.
