Letter: McConnell is a hypocrite for failing to vote to convict Trump

Well, it’s bad enough that the Republican members of Congress don’t have enough intestinal fortitude to do what they know is the right thing, and vote to make Trump accountable for his actions, and the otherwise intelligent, people who actually buy into the racist evil lies that Trump spreads, can’t realize how much harm he causes.

But then Sen. Mitch McConnell has the audacity to – after voting “not guilty” – get up after the proceedings are over and declare that the case that the managers made is 100% accurate. Then he tries to rationalize it by stating that the reason he voted the way he did was because Trump was no longer president.

The hypocrite is the one that would not let the House present the case until after the inauguration. That way he could use that as a reason not to convict.

As far as I’m concerned, McConnell, Sen. Lindsey Graham, Sen. Ted Cruz, and every one of the hypocrites that voted “not guilty” are every bit as responsible for the people who were injured or are dead as the people who committed those acts, or will be harmed in the future, by those people who think that Trump and his followers are patriots.

I am willing to bet that a very low percentage them have ever even been in the military, including any of Trump’s family.
