The Mercy Patient and Family Advisory Council brings the patient’s perspective to Mercy Family Medicine. We are dedicated to making Mercy Family Medicine one of the premier family practices.

Mercy Family Medicine’s professional staff members – including doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants and support workers – have been outstanding in dedication and patient care.

During these last few months, they have been tested professionally and personally, pushed to exhaustion and squeezed for every last drop of energy, yet they still rise to the top. In calmer times, we have taken this for granted by viewing it as the norm. In these tumultuous times, this level of patient care is miraculous.

How does one say a proper thank you to our patient care team members, when they step forward every day, risking their own health, to extend care? Traditional examples like candy or flowers may be thoughtful but a bit clichéd. A personal note is appreciated. However, we come today on bended knee in praise and gratitude to express our highest regard in the most humble and gracious way we know. We owe our very survival to your commitment to patient care, and we shall never lose sight of how important you are.

We write regarding the staff at Mercy Family Medicine but extend our thanks to all who serve in the greater Durango and La Plata County region. You are all sisters and brothers sharing the same dedication and care. Bless each one of you.
