Letters: Cyclists, don’t be rude, follow road rules

I have lived in Southwest Colorado for 35 years. I ride a road bike.

I do understand why we ride, exercise, compete, etc.

I experience so many riders running stop signs, red lights, not obeying the rules of the road.

I stopped a road bike rider today and wanted to talk to him about running stop signs and red lights, which I saw him do. All I did was annoy him and he flipped me off and rode away.

I’m a rider, and I truly believe these people that are not obeying the rules of the road are giving all bike riders a bad name. These people do not own the road.

Please follow the rules of the road.
