Letters: Fults can help us grow our own energy

I’d like to call attention to the extraordinary capability and determination of Doug Fults, candidate for LPEA board director in District 2. We are fortunate that he is offering his skills and experience to our cooperative.

Doug Fults knows that we no longer have to choose between clean energy and affordability. Renewable energy is now the cheapest, and payback times are short. Our sunny southern District 2 has excellent revenue potential for independent owner-producers.

But currently, as Fults points out, co-op members are restricted by our Tri-State contract from harvesting energy – on their own land!

Doug is a strong, dependable advocate for property owners seeking the reliable revenue potential from this region’s abundant sunshine. Fults takes co-op member problems seriously and promises to find the solutions that best serve our needs. Keeping jobs and money in our local economy is one of Doug’s highest priorities. And he is the man for this task; he served as CFO of a tech company, with training and a career in electrical engineering and computer science. His strength is analyzing systems, vetting all options, and choosing sound and practical solutions.

And he has regional loyalty passed down through three generations of Coloradans.

We need Doug Fults on the board of LPEA.
