Letters: Who’s afraid of out-of-state virus carriers?

It is with amusement that I continue to read letters fearing out-of-state visitors bringing the virus to Durango. And now there is talk about how to restrict or control the number of visitors to Durango.

Evidently, out-of-state money is not wanted or needed so that those concerned may not be exposed to the virus.

Here is the flip side: When I go shopping in Farmington, I am amazed at how many vehicles with Colorado plates can be seen in the Sam’s Club, Target and Home Depot parking lots.

Those of you who express concern about visitors bringing in the virus should maybe be just as concerned about your neighbors bringing in the virus when they return from New Mexico. It is a two-way street, people.
