This local election is giving us a number of candidates to vote for in La Plata County.

As a longtime community member, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many people. Over the years, I have very positive experiences with Bobby Lieb, who is running for county treasurer. In his experience as a local businessman, Bobby has successfully run companies here in La Plata County. As the local Durango Chamber manager, he understands how our economy works and how the ebb and flow of business impacts our county. As an elected county commissioner, Bobby has proven his leadership abilities and really understands county government.

So why does this matter? We need a qualified county treasurer who knows our community, who has local business experience, who has experience in county government and understand where the treasurer’s office fits into La Plata County government. Bobby Lieb meets these qualifications, and he is ready to serve.
