“Inklings,” a book club for children in second- and third-grade, will meet from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays beginning Jan. 6.

Free legal clinic available in Ignacio

A free legal clinic for parties who have no attorney will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. on the second Friday of each month at the Ignacio Community Library, 470 Goddard Ave. in Ignacio.

By computer link, volunteer attorneys will answer questions, help fill out forms and explain the process and procedure for all areas of civil litigation, including: family law, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, small claims, veterans issues and civil protection orders.

Free spa event to take place Jan. 3

Mind, Body & Soul Spa Day, a free event, will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 3 at the Durango Mountain Institute located at Durango Mountain Resort by Elk Point Condos.

This event is being hosted by a group of local business owners as a way to help people begin the New Year with health and wellness ideas and support. The event will feature shopping, socializing, services for self-healing and body relaxation.
