Discussing the right to die: Life’s quality or quantity?

The Life-Long Learning Lecture Series at Fort Lewis College will present “To Every Season: Death with Dignity” at 7 p.m. Thursday in Noble Hall, Room 130 at FLC.

Advances in medicine and technology greatly have enhanced the lives of many, but for others, a question arises as to which is better: life’s quality or quantity? For more than 30 years, the public’s support for aid in dying has remained above 60 percent, yet only a handful of states have passed laws that allow such an option.

Join Roland Halpern, from the national organization Compassion & Choices, who will explain the history of the right to die on people’s own terms.
