Jake Carney of Riverview Elementary School and Kenasea Byrd of Bayfield Middle School will represent Durango Elks Lodge Friday and Saturday at the Colorado State Elks Hoop Shoot contest in Salida.
The state competition will be held at Salida High School, and includes winners from district hoop shoots held across Colorado.
State contest winners from Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas and Nebraska will advance to the West Central Region 8 Elks Hoop Shoot semifinals, to be held March 17 in Denver. The National Finals will be held April 21 in Chicago.
