Lost Dog lost forever

One of the Lost Dog Bar & Lounge’s claims to fame has been its clubs for single-malt scotch, bourbon, vodka and tequila. The restaurant is closing and holding a get-together Friday night. Here, bartender Logan Austin, front, and Tirzah Camacho handle the drink pouring.

Adiós tequila, bourbon, vodka and single-malt scotch clubs, quirky art displays and fundraisers galore. After 11 years, the Lost Dog Bar & Lounge is closing its doors.

The closure has been a topic of conversation in town for most of the summer. Owner Ann Morse has turned down requests to speak to the Herald for several months, and she did not respond to a phone call Wednesday. She ran an ad in the paper Monday.

The Lost Dog, which has anchored the north end of Main Avenue downtown, will hold a final get-together from 5 p.m. to close Friday.

For $10, guests will enjoy a buffet, bottomless soft drinks and drink specials with live music by The Robby Overfield Band and the Lawn Chair Kings.
