Mercy Regional Medical Center received two national distinctions in quality excellence from Healthgrades, including the 2017 Patient Safety Excellence Award and the 2017 Outstanding Patient Experience Award.
Mercy was identified for excellent performance in safeguarding patients from serious and potentially preventable complications and for providing a positive experience for patients during their hospital stay, according to Healthgrades.
Mercy is the only hospital in the Four Corners to receive the Healthgrades outstanding patient experience award for the last nine years and the only hospital in Colorado, and one of 95 hospitals in the nation out of 2,932 evaluated, to be recognized by Healthgrades in 2017 for both patient safety and patient experience excellence. Mercy is among only 3 percent of eligible hospitals in the nation to receive both awards.
