Mercy to offer fracture-prevention talk

A free community presentation, titled “Healthy Bones, Healthy Body: Your Guide to Fracture Prevention,” will be offered at 6 p.m. May 30 at Mercy Sports Medicine, in Bodo Industrial Park at 327 South Camino del Rio.

Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Kim Furry, physician assistant Clayton LaBaume and physical therapist Phil Rambo will explain age-related factors that increase the risk of fall-related fractures and share simple ways people can minimize fracture risk.

Appetizers will be served during a reception before the presentation.

Those who plan to attend are asked to make reservations by May 27 by phone at 764-3999 or online at www.mercydurango.org/events.
