What on earth has Peg Aldridge been smoking (“You can’t treat a baby turtle this way!,” Feb. 4)?
New York did pass a late-term abortion law, which allows, and I quote, that “a patient can receive an abortion when, according to the practitioner’s reasonable and good faith professional judgment based on the facts of the patient’s case: the patient is within 24 weeks from the commencement of pregnancy, or there is an absence of fetal viability, or the abortion is necessary to protect the patient’s life or health.”
The act does not state that a late-term abortion can be performed “for any reason.”
These are the facts. Dismemberment and selling baby parts is just more fake news.
