A season ticket at Copper and Winter Park is $369, and a season ticket good at Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone and Beaver Creek, plus a bunch of other major ski areas, is only $569. Purgatory charges $929, and it’s not even close to being as good as those ski areas.
It’s hilarious that in the Nov. 22 Herald, Purgatory President Gary Derck complains that United Airlines is charging unfairly for plane tickets out of Durango. Companies that rip off the locals aren’t just the airlines.
