A National People’s March with the theme: “The Future is Ours – Fight for It,” will be held beginning at 11:30 at the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Station, 479 Main Ave.
At noon, participants will march up Main Avenue to Buckley Park for speakers. Then, from 1:30-3:30 p.m., refreshments and workshops will be held at Durango Public Library, 1900 east Third Ave.
The march in Durango will happen the same day as the National March in Washington, D.C. It is co-hosted by Indivisible Durango and Durango Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
All are welcome to this free, family-friendly event. Participants are asked to bring positive signs.
