Durango Derby is a mountain bike stage race taking place Sept. 23 at various locations in Durango. There will be a $10,000 total pro cash purse. The prize money will be split evenly between the Pro Men and Pro Women’s solo categories. Podium contenders in all other categories, including two- and four-person team categories will leave with prize packages filled with items from sponsors including Maxxis Tires, King Cage, MRP Bike, Tailwind Nutrition, Embark Maple, Stan’s No Tubes and more.
The race format features four stages that showcase Durango’s in-town single-track.
Racers will compete in the solo division and will take on all four stages, and three un-timed transfers, totaling 44 miles. All categories, including the solo, two-person and four-person teams, are still open for registration and will remain open until the race.
