Your editorial on “Spend excess revenue on new purposes” on Saturday leads me to believe that Bernie Sanders is in town. You are suggesting that we take windfall revenue and invest it in ongoing expenses, such as: building affordable housing or building workforce housing or staffing the library on Sundays, etc.
Have you thought about the continued expenses that these projects would need after this year? Or do you suggest that after 2022, we can just ask for and receive the revenue from the federal government, where we all know that we can get money for free?
