Adults and children over age 12 are invited to a New Year’s Day Zumbathon event from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Monday at St. Columba School’s gym, 1801 East Third Ave. The cost is $20. This dance-fitness fundraiser will benefit music programs at Escalante and Miller middle schools.

Two local Zumba instructors will trade off leading fun and easy choreography to pop music and world rhythms for a 90-minute workout. All stages of fitness are welcome. No dance experience is necessary. Participants should wear layered gym clothing and bring a water bottle.
