Great news to read in The Wall Street Journal that Congress is finally considering raising the airport passenger facility fee, which has not been increased in 17 years.
Higher facility fee income to airports won’t be enough to fully pay for airport upgrades but it will help.
Have any of our county officials looked for other ways to fund a new airport other than hitting on county property owners with higher taxes?
I liked former state Sen. Ellen Roberts’ suggestion a while back to establish a regional airport authority to help fund a new airport.
