Unless you tune in to FOX news or read the Wall Street Journal, you’re probably unaware of the following quote from President Obama’s news conference announcing his unconstitutional meddling in the Affordable Care Act: “There is no doubt that our failure to roll out the Affordable Care Act smoothly has put a burden on Democrats, whether they’re running or not, because they stood up and supported this effort through thick and thin.”
Don’t look for this soundbite on CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC or MSNBC. Forget the LA Times, Washington Post, New York Times or The Durango Herald printing this part of his news conference.
In addition to insurance company leaders pulling their hair out over this obvious political ploy, constitutional scholars from both sides of the spectrum are lining up to point out that these moves are not constitutional by any stretch of the imagination.
I’m genuinely concerned that the incompetence of this president will further sink our country into a third-world banana republic.
