El Moro to host beer festival send-off dinner Sept. 16
In preparation for the stiff competition at the upcoming Great American Beer Festival to be held later this month in Denver, El Moro Spirits and Tavern is hosting a “GABF Send-Off Beer Dinner,” – a five-course meal paired with beers from five of Durango’s craft brewers.
Limited seating is available for the dinner, which will be served Sept. 16 at El Moro. Beers from Steamworks Brewing Co., Ska Brewing Co., Carver Brewing Co., BREW and Animas Brewing Co. will be paired with offerings by El Moro chefs Sean Clark and Charley Curtis.
Food and beer pairings include Monkfish Papilotte with Banana Ketchup and Pan Fried Heirloom Potatoes, paired with Steamworks’ Dunkleweiss, and Cassoulet with Duck Confit and House Garlic Sausage, paired with Ska’s Buster Nut Brown.
The chefs and representatives from each brewery will be on hand at the dinner to discuss the pairings with guests.
