Lon Abadie drops off his Christmas tree after cutting off the lower branches so he could get it out of his house, Saturday at the city of Durango’s Christmas tree recycling site at Santa Rita Park. Residents may drop off natural trees, free of ornaments and tinsel, near the large playground area at the site. The city will accept trees until Jan. 31. The trees will be recycled into mulch. There will be no curbside pick-up of Christmas trees this year.
