These two young boys on their motorized homemade go-kart were photographed around 1925 in the 600 block of Main Avenue. They are only identified as neighbors of the Wetters. Behind them is the southeast corner of Sixth Street and Main Avenue, now East College Drive and Main Avenue, where the Balcony Bar & Grill is located. The building in the background, the N.T. Thomsen Building, was built in 1913 and currently houses Starbucks. The Wetter Building, at 605 Main Ave., is the oldest building on the block. It was built in 1883 across the street from where this photo was taken; it is now home to the Jean Pierre Wine Bar.
