A cooking demonstration and tasting with local chef Tish Nelson will be offered from 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 7 at the
Chef Nelson, in anticipation of Valentine’s Day, will show participants how to cook with lavender and make a romantic dinner.
The menu will include salad with lavender dressing, fresh baked rosemary and lavender bread, poached lavender chicken in a cream sauce over a bed of wild rice, and a lemon lavender cake dessert.
There will be a tasting after the demonstration, and participants will receive recipes for each dish.
The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
