A city councilor recently said that everyone she knew was in favor of this disposable-bag tax. She must have completely different friends than I do because all of the people I talk to are against it. Sometimes, we just get fed up with being deceived. This is one of those times because nobody talks much about the fact that this tax also is on paper bags. They try and push your guilt buttons with the plastic bags and how horrible they are, but never quite get around to saying why paper bags are included in this tax. Vote against this bag tax, and when using plastic bags, please recycle.
