Southwest Colorado Small Business Development Center and Pine River Library will sponsor a workshop, “Introduction to QuickBooks,” from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 2 at Pine River Library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive, in Bayfield.
The workshop is taught by Laura E. Hokanson, certified public accountant, QuickBooks pro-advisor and Fort Lewis College accounting professor, and helps small business owners understand the amount they bring in and how they spend it.
Hokanson will explain how QuickBooks software works with topics, including the setup process; accounts charts; lists; invoices and cash receipts; basic sales and payment processing; vendors and easy bill payments; banking and credit card transactions, and good profit and loss reports.
A lunch break will be given from noon to 1 p.m. Participants are asked to bring a brown bag lunch.
Cost is $65 for Durango Chamber of Commerce members and $70 for nonmembers.
