Raft for Hope returns to Animas River

Raft for Hope, an annual fundraiser organized by Summit Church and Mild to Wild to raise awareness and money for suicide prevention resources, will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday. (Aug. 4), and includes a one hour rafting trip from 29th Street to Santa Rita Park.

Raft for Hope is an initiative that Mild to Wild and Summit Church started 10 years ago. The event is a continued dedication to Taylor Lau, a long-term and beloved river guide who died in September 2021. All of the proceeds from the rafting trip will be donated to the Grief Center of Southwest Colorado, as well as private scholarships for counseling and addiction.

Raft for Hope tickets are $50, participants can sign up through Mild to Wild at https://tinyurl.com/3dhhw8v2. All rafters at least 4 years old are welcome to the event.
